Scientists reach and stretch. They fill the gaps of their understanding with a faith of their own making. They become parishioners of a new religion. They claim religious folk have always done the same. But who fills gaps more than Stephen Hawking? He leads many with his circular reasoning and unproven claims. Recently, he declared, "Time started at the Big Bang. Before the Big Bang, no time, hence no creator" (Stack Exchange).

This "scientist" wants us to believe time did not exist before the Big Bang. He hopes this will convince those of scientific faith that God could not have created the universe. For actions require time. Creation, he argues, demands sequence. But if time did not exist, how could creation occur?

Now, pause and consider. First, the universe was not. Then, the Big Bang happened. And suddenly, everything existed. That sounds like a sequence. Time must have existed for the Big Bang. Hawking might retort, "No, there was nothing before the Big Bang. It wasn't sequenced. It just happened." Really? What does that sound like to you?

Scientists often use phrases to twist creationist claims into absurdities. They hope oversimplification will shield their beliefs. Yet, they struggle with causal claims that include God. They ask, "Who created God?" hoping to imply infinite regress. But now, they too offer no causal answer for the Big Bang. If believers in God are absurd for lacking a cause for God's existence, aren't believers in science absurd for lacking a cause for the Big Bang?

The difference is clear. The God-believing camp claims an intelligent Creator, fitting with what we see. Things are created by creators. No cause is needed for God's existence. The science-believing camp, led by Hawking, claims spontaneous creation. They say nothing preceded it, with no cause for the Big Bang.

Science cannot support these claims. They can't test them by their own methods. Yet, they march on, blind to their own faith. Look past the lab coats. The church of science lacks answers. They go against their own methods, following faith over reason.

God makes sense. Millions testify to personal experiences with God. To deny God, one must dismiss these testimonies. The world we live in makes sense. The stirring in your heart, the awe you feel, makes sense. The universe's order can only come from a Creator. Don't be led astray by science's false prophets. Believe what you know in your heart, even without a lab coat.

The Plain Truth of It

In the end, my friend, truth stands firm. The universe's order, the beauty of creation, the wonder in your soul—all point to a Creator. "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork" (Psalm 19:1). This is not the work of chance. It is the work of a divine hand.

Consider the testimony of millions who have felt God's presence. "For in him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28). Their experiences are not to be dismissed lightly. They speak of a truth beyond scientific measure.

So, I invite you. Look beyond the theories and the doubters. Seek the Creator who holds the universe in His hands. Listen to the quiet truth in your heart. It knows the way.
