Mercy is God withholding the judgment we have earned and stooping to help us in our misery. Scripture says His mercies are new every morning and that He delighteth in mercy. Those who have received it are then called to show it to others. These passages display the tender heart of God toward sinners and sufferers alike, and what it works in us.
