Scripture keeps insisting on a strange arithmetic: strength is made perfect in weakness. The believer who has come to the end of his own resources is not at the end at all. God gives power to the faint, and these passages have been the proof of it in countless ordinary lives, including some you have known.

2 Corinthians 12:9–10

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
