Bible Verses About Work and Labor

King James Version · 16 passages

Work is older than the fall; God set Adam in the garden to dress it and to keep it. Scripture honors honest labor, sends the sluggard to the ant, and tells us to do whatever we do heartily, as to the Lord and not unto men. These passages give dignity to the ordinary day's work and rebuke to the idle excuse.
