John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
The peace of God is not the absence of trouble but a garrison around the heart in the middle of it. Jesus left His peace to His people as a deliberate gift, knowing exactly what kind of world they would face. These verses describe a calm that holds when circumstances do not, and a Prince whose government carries it.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
