We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against spiritual wickedness in high places. The Christian life is a fight, yet it is fought from victory rather than for it, because Christ has already spoiled the powers of darkness. These passages teach the believer to be sober, to be vigilant, to resist the devil, and to stand.
